COVID-19 Information

Throughout this pandemic, best to rely on primary sources such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Florida-specific information is at Florida Health. Stay informed. Stay safe.

Coronavirus Testing in Brevard County

Coronavirus drive-thru testing sites operated by Omni Healthcare are available at various locations in Brevard County. Patients have to be screened and need to register by calling 321-802-5515. Providers will be asking patients if they meet the following criteria:
- First responders
- Anyone with minimal symptoms of a cough or low-grade fever
- Anyone over the age of 45 with one chronic illness
- Anyone over the age of 60

Additional testing sites (virus and antibody) can be found by contacting the Brevard County Health Department.

Financial Assistance

Our Paycheck Protection Program loan application was approved and the loan was closed on Friday, May 8th. The PPPFA act, signed in early June, includes a number of provisions that assist businesses in the use of PPP funds.

Our Post employees and any Post or Auxiliary member whose Florida employment has been impacted by the pandemic should take action to secure assistance by going to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity web site. Improvements to the system have been introduced to improve ease of access but it is likely best to access the web site late at night or early in the morning.

Stay Informed. Stay Safe.

As we make our way through the this pandemic, be wary of prevention or cure myths. The World Health Organization provides information on various COVID-19 myths at www.who.int (WHO). Click on the red COVID-19 pandemic graphic and then scroll down and click on the blue Myth busters graphic.
